Cannabidiol (CBD)

Cannabidiol, better known as CBD, is a non-psychoactive phytocannabinoid and is one of the characteristic ingredients of the hemp plant Cannabis Sativa. It is isolated by extraction from the above-ground parts of the plant and then purified. CBD has a complex profile of terpenes and secondary plant substances and, due to its special chemical structure, adds a defined bioactive component to classic plant oils and waxes. It is therefore used specifically as a functional plant extract in cosmetic formulations.
