Calcium

Calcium is an essential bulk element and is mainly processed in the form of salts, which are characterized by different solubility and stability. Common forms include calcium citrate, which is known for its high water solubility, and calcium carbonate, which has a particularly high elemental content and is well tolerated. In PrepTect Shield, calcium is used in the form of calcium carbonate, as this compound enables both high bioavailability and stable processing.
