Retinyl acetate

Retinyl acetate is an esterified form of vitamin A and is one of the fat-soluble vitamins. It is formed by the chemical bonding of acetic acid to retinol, creating a compound with greater stability against oxidation and light decomposition. This ester form differs from free retinol due to its better shelf life and defined structure, but remains a biologically utilizable source of vitamin A at its core.
