Panax ginseng is a perennial plant and is one of the most traditional raw materials in Asian nutritional science. It is characterized by its high content of ginsenosides - triterpenoid saponins, which play a key role in the scientific value of this species. This profile is complemented by polysaccharides, peptidoglycans and volatile aromatic substances, which round off the biochemical diversity. The extract is isolated from the dried root in a multi-stage process and is thus available in concentrated form.
